Morning Gratitude: The Three Things I Know About God’s Time
People often say things happen in God’s Time. Not me. Almost 30 years ago, I challenged God. I told Him, I certainly did not like the God taught to me growing up, so I wanted to get to Him for myself. “If you are who they say you are, then I don’t want no part of heaven!”, I declared. It was the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve learned a few things about God’s timing:
- Time is not a factor
- He wants me to have my heart’s desires
- He does the heavy lifting
God’s Time is Not About His Timing
I get why people say God’s on time. It may seem like things work out unexpectedly or at that “midnight hour.” God’s timing is never on target, too late, or too soon. Why? Because God never leaves us — our human brain usually see past the moment we are in and forget that while God has a commanding presence, He graces us we free will. So really, it’s about your timing, not God.
God’s Time is More About Our Desires
Each of our souls is born into the world with a purpose. The beautiful thing is that we can fulfill this purpose in so many ways! We do not have to be one-dimensional. Fill your life with creativity, adventure, and purpose – YOU decide how that looks. God is here to helps us serve our purpose in the way we find it most fulfilling.
God’s Time is Based On When We Do Our Part
Over the past two years, I have done my best to do my part. The amazing thing is that as soon as I do my part, God does the rest. He not only does there rest, his part is usually the hefty part of the load.
As I worked with my friend, I realized that once again, as I did my part, God made the path for me to get another step closer to my goal. So, I am grateful, this morning, to know that when it comes to reaching my goals, it not about God’s timing, it’s more about mine.
