Morning Gratitude: Three Good Things I am Grateful For
I have to remember the goodness of the world. I do fall short at times and let a bad apple tarnish my view. My morning gratitude helps me adjust my attitude. So, here are the three good things I am grateful for.
1.Good People
Sometimes we’d like to believe there are no good people in the world because the bad gets the publicity. The truth is most good acts just happen. They don’t appear on Facebook or social media. My close network of friends does good deeds every day without even thinking! Still, it warms my heart to see my social feeds filled with acts of kindness from friends, organizations, celebrities, and strangers.
2. Good Food
My husband and I have decided, once again, to take our safety net off so that we can fully pursue our goals for better health, financial freedom, and a balanced home. I know some of my friends know exactly what I am talking about. This means we are finding a way to take care of our household on a budget that seems impossible to the naked eye. We have eaten the tastiest beans and rice ever!
We have tried many times to cut out certain foods, to no avail. Now, we are practically vegetarians — not really, but we have not cooked meat yet this week. We are also enjoying the simple foods. It is benefiting our health and my waistline!
3. Good Help
My household is filled with team players. My husband, my nephew —Kevin, my son, niece, and I are a good team. The school-aged kid adjustments have been a struggle for me. Kevin, who flew in from Florida, is helping my niece with her homework. He also helps with dogs and has joined my team on one of my projects. We are all simple Simons. Some may say I have a simple life — I say I have a simply marvelous one.
My heart is with Texas and all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. When one is affected we are all affected. Remember, Gratitude improves your attitude and increases your blessings!
