Morning Gratitude: Three Reasons I am Thankful
Gratitude is so therapeutic for me. It reminds me that life is filled with more blessings than pain. As I have mentioned, I am implementing the Self-Journal my boys gifted me. I either have to list three things I am thankful for or one thing I am grateful for and three reasons why. Here are the three reasons I am thankful:
1. I’m Thankful for my Husband.
I’m thankful for my husband, Robert Daley. He leads this family wonderfully. We’ve taken a step back to focus on my health which means I am not aggressively pursuing the business for a bit. Things are more than tight and still, he finds a way to make it work. He goes from the suit to Uber on weekends to keep us afloat.
We were kids when we married but we had adult responsibilities. He is all man and all heart. I am fortunate to have him as my life partner.
2. I’m Grateful for a Resilient Family
Our family has had our share of struggles for the past six years or so. Yet, we have had two high school graduations, two college graduations, and one GED. We’ve also worked on ourselves in a way we probably wouldn’t have. We are living proof that only one person stands in the way of making your goals — you.
I know that our challenges will be someone’s testimony. Life does not punish you for hurting, succeeding or going through challenges. It is; however, unkind to those who are not resilient.
3. I’m Grateful for a Great Support System
I am thankful for a great support system. A good support system is there to augment your needs. A great support system makes you stronger with each crisis. I have a support system that makes me stronger with each challenge I face. Yesterday it felt good to turn around to an army and say “I got this, and God’s got the rest.”
These are just three of the things I am grateful for. God’s grace and guidance are just awesome. I love to give him thanks by putting nouns and verbs together that articulate the things that fill my heart with gratitude. So far, it is pretty easy on most days because my blessings
