Morning Gratitude Day 152-2018: No to Back-out Plans
My hubby and I decided to have our support system in place as we set out to push harder towards our dreams. I had always told him I would go back to corporate clients if I had to. By “go back to corporate clients” I meant not in a coaching capacity but as a skilled consultant either managing projects or being a scrum master. I realized my backup plan was a back-out plan.
No Back-out Plan for Me
In our session, I said quietly, “I am not going back to corporate America, not in my old capacity.” He told me he figured I wouldn’t be going back. I felt as if I jumped off the ledge. I committed and my committed, I mean I COMMITTED for the first time. The anticipation of that jump was worse than the jump itself.
My Gratitude
I thank God for the courage to jump. I’ve always been responsible for others, so putting my purpose and me first still feel so odd. I am also grateful for a husband that supports what I do. I used to say it was harder to take the right route than the easy way. When you are committed to your purpose, it’s not.
Gratitude is my courage juice. It distracts me from the size of my dream and keeps me focused on creeping forward.
Start your Monday with gratitude, and you’ll have the right attitude for an excellent and productive week!
xoxo
