Morning Gratitude Day 148-2018: When Love Waits
I have been extremely busy over the past several days. I know — I can already hear your sarcastic thoughts, “… and how is that different from any other day?!” I am usually winding down by 8 or 9 in the evening. The past few days wind-down time was after 1:00 a.m.and wind-up time was 6:00 a.m. I usually work so that I am around the family and the kids — and by kids, I mean my niece and the dog — but the last couple of days I had to isolate myself from all distractions if I wanted to have even the most remote chance of meeting my impossible deadlines.
By Tuesday, everyone, even the pups, was craving for some love and affection from mommy. It was hard to watch, and I craved their love as well. It felt so good to make it past the deadline. Everything was completed with 15 minutes to spare (cuz I’m gangsta). I greeted everyone with hugs and kisses this morning. My poodle, Jada, is sitting comfortably as I write my morning gratitude. Ah! It feels so good to have my chaos contained to its normal decibel.
My Gratitude
I am grateful that love waited for me. We all have those folks in our life that won’t wait around for you. My entire family, including my kids, gave me the few days I needed to meet a tight deadline. It feels good when love waits. I am thankful it did.
Gratitude allows me to appreciate what people do even when I am drowning in my responsibilities.
No matter how busy you get, appreciate the sacrifices your loved ones make so that you can “do you.”
xoxo
