My husband is coming home from a business trip. I have so much to do: clean, work on my résumé, get content together for a presentation, and plan content. I was on my second red bull when I decided to stop everything and lay on my office loveseat and sleep. Before long, my pets joined me. My 148 lb frame was the base. Shiloh, my 65 lb pit bull curled up at my feet. His twin, Marley stretched across him resting his head and front paws on my hip. I was spooning Jada, my poodle, and Khloe; my Shih Tzu was looking up at me from the floor, regretting that she abandoned our nest. I am glad I decided to enjoy the moment.
Enjoy the Moment
It’s easy to let your life get too busy to enjoy the moment. Don’t do it. We build some of our most valuable memories in the off-script moments. Those moments soften life’s hard blows.
I am grateful I have plenty of enjoyable moments. I love the simple moments I share with my family. I am a workaholic; however, my favorite times including cuddling with the hubby and my dogs, talking to my children and laughing with my friends and family.
Remember to enjoy life and start your day with gratitude.
