If anyone knows me, they know dogs love me because I love them so hard. Well today, love had to leave the room. My home office is a recording studio, photo studio, executive boardroom, a room where I have remote coaching sessions, and a doggie daycare. My 4-legged doggies (especially Khloe and Jada, my Shih Tzu and poodle, respectively) take it too far. Monday Khloe was not happy when I did not take my routine nap with them. Yesterday, they were content on the loveseat in my office. Today — full on b!tches.
I kicked out the boys (otherwise known as the Naughties) first. Then when the girls were in their full-on diva mode, I kicked them out of the room as well. To say they were puzzled and shocked was an understatement.
Love Had to Leave the Room
I share my day with my 4-legged kiddos. Yesterday, I gave them the day. I blew off everything. I only worked for two hours … maybe. So today I kicked love out!
I am pretty good at making the right decision — I used to feel bad. Feeling unnecessary guilt is energy-draining. Every so often I have to shut out all my loves (2-legged and 4-legged) to take care of me and my obligations. When you love well, people want it all the time — and yes pets are people too. So, I thank God for ridding my heart of unnecessary guilt.
Be grateful and embrace your decisions.
p.s. love just came back and a couple more are scratching and whining at the door! smh.
