I am thankful for the mindful moments I experience. If you are like me, your mind can wander with uncontrolled thoughts. Life is full of so many distractions, demands, and deeds that it is overwhelming. When I can shut all that down and just stay present, it is calming, freeing, and therapeutic. In those moments, I am one with God.
1. My Mindful Moments Allows me to Hear God
In my mindful moments, I am one with God. It is in those moments, I hear God. Some call it the sub-conscience; some call it being one with themselves —no matter what you believe or call it, it’s an ability we all have. I call these moments my one-on-one time with God.
2. My Mindful Moments Puts Me in Alignment With God’s Will
There are some that think mindful goes against Christianity — I don’t agree. When you practice mindfulness, it just means that your mind is clear, your vessel is empty from distractions and is ready to receive instruction.
My mindful moments puts me in alignment with God. I make some decisions without a doubt and some with great uncertainty. I benefit the greatest when God shows me when some of my unwavering decisions are wrong.
3. My Mindful Moments Eases My Anxiety
I still haven’t figured out how to balance my life. I believe life is something we manage: not solve – it is a polarity. When I am mindful, I stay present in whatever I am doing. I solve the problem at hand instead of swimming in the seas of my 1,000 to-dos. It is not only more productive but also calming.
I thank God for mindfulness for these three reasons and more. One thing for sure, the more mindful I am, the more spiritual I am. It is in my spirituality I see this human girl has a long way to go!
