Gratitude Monday: My son’s gratitude
“I was honestly considering dropping out of GSU after last semester but so many great things, especially our trip to the Sun Belt and NCAA tournaments, have happened that made me glad I didn’t do such a thing. The basketball team, both men and women, gave me a great almost 2 week vacation in New Orleans and in Jacksonville. I had a great spring break because of them. Thanks for what yall did for me, our university, the city of Atlanta, and the state of Georgia. We appreciate you guys.”
This was one of my son’s Facebook posts. I don’t think his friends or even his siblings can imagine the challenges he went through. Those challenges made him a stronger young man. Whether he knows it or not, he has experienced incredible spiritual growth. I am so thankful to see that gratitude is innate in his being. On the surface, my son has an impressive life resume at such a young age. What brings me joy is his depth, his courage to be real no matter what anyone thinks—even me.
Remember foot soldiers, gratitude improves attitude and grooms you for blessings you cannot even imagine! GM everyone! GM!
