Why mothers are so critical to making the world a better place
Being a mother is the most important and hardest job I have. It is one that is worth the work. I had my mom for my first twelve years of life and to this day she still gets the most credit for the person I am today. I write this short but sweet blog to remind all mothers just some of the things that makes us the foundation of our society.
Mothers are magicians
Mothers find a way to make things happen. When it comes to her kids, the impossibilities become attainable. My mother was a young mom with five children trying to get us all to America to give us a chance at a better life. I still remember how it seemed impossible for her to be able to board all her kids on a plane but somehow we made it. Mothers see all, know all and can do anything, including taking you out of the world they brought you in.
Mothers are guard dogs

I love people. I love love! I love hugs, giggles and affection. If you mess with one of my children, the claws come out and the teeth sharpen. We will protect our offsprings from anyone…even dad. There is nothing more fierce than a mom. My mom was 5′ 1″ and 105 lb but she would scare the biggest bodybuilder when it came to her kids. At the time of her death, she had a total of seven kids yet nothing got by her. She had those mom radars and would always be there to protect us and chastise us—whatever the situation called for.
Mothers produce love
Last year was a peak of a trying time for our family. My husband and I had to practice tough love. Some things I had to turn over to my husband. One thing I could not hand over to anyone was teaching my family to love each other through the tough times. We are a family of boys—my daughter and I are the only two gals. It was up to me to teach my husband and sons how to love a sister. It was up to me to let them see that she needed something different than they needed.
Mothers build society and legacy
There is nothing cuter than to see my daughter mimic me. I am one who loves inspirational quotes. I watched my daughter put stickies all over the house (God forbid she states that I influenced her writing). I remember when I would see her eyes deflate when the men in the house responded to her in a rough way. I would remind them that they had to be the man they wanted her to date and I would remind her that it is our job as the girls in the house to teach these men to love.

Happy Mother’s Day!
I spent from thirteen to forty yearning for my mother’s love. I knew when I lost her I lost something special. Today I celebrate her! Mothers are so amazing that they do not have to be in your life that long to influence the person you are. I have become an improved version of my mother and I hope that my daughter will become an improved version of me one day. Mothers, we can either make or break our society. Take your job seriously and embrace the honor. Enjoy your day and let your family pamper you! We all know that mothers do not get too many days that they can kick back and relax. Enjoy your day. You deserve it!
