Yesterday I had one of my contract-mandated wife meltdown. Well, it’s not really contract-mandated but I am sure my husband probably think it’s something required from a secret wife union. It was the typical “I can’t do enough”/”You don’t communicate” rants. I don’t stay annoyed long because I’ll take the wife role before the husband one any day. Though my role has thankless moments, my husband’s role as the head of our household comes with burdens as well.
Happy I’m a Wife Because My Husband is an Awesome Protector
I am a mama bear and you don’t want to get anywhere in my claw-range if you mess with my family. Still, my husband is the one that is responsible for protecting our family. I don’t have that pressure. Yeah, I a grateful wife because my husband protects our family.
Happy I’m a Wife Because My Husband Does the Yard Work
I don’t like doing yard work … mostly because I am afraid of critters. I will take pictures and help a bit, but certainly not enough to say that I am helping. I am lucky that my husband sees yard work as his duty.
Happy I am Wife Because My Husband Kills the Critters
My husband does not understand how I am from Central America and afraid of bugs. My out-of-the-norm reaction irritates him to no end. I am lucky because he kills the critters even though my reaction to them annoys him.
So Robert, yes, while it may seem that you can’t do enough, you do enough and you are enough. I thank God that I have a man who loves me, protects me, and fills in for me where I fall short.
