Gratitude Monday (GM) foot soldiers! Wow! Discernment. What a “big” word for a blog. It breaks all the rules for blogging in plain english but good judgment is as complicated as the word that describes it … discernment.
Improved Judgement Means More Clarity
I have been fooled a time or two by loved ones that are bilingual — they speak their language and bullsh*t. Bullsh*t is the ability to use someone’s love language to your way. While my heart is whimsy, I no longer have my heart cloud my judgment.

Have you ever found yourself trying to prove a lie or demonstrate you are not a bad person? I have, over and over again. That is one of the most foolish things you can do. When someone is lying on you, they know it and you know it … so what are you arguing with them for? Eliminating this foolish practice keeps me out of the victims chair (cuz I ain’t no victim).
Less Misappropriation of the Give a Damn Juice
There is a time and a place for everything. Practicing good judgment has decreased the instances of being played for a fool. Sometimes you can give the wrong thing too much attention. Compassion in some instances can leave you vulnerable for manipulation. It is not about being suspicious, it is just about seeing this for what they are and not what you want them to be.
Some of you will read this and say “Girl, I understand.” I am not sure you do. My heart is just as open and free as ever. Other people aren’t the problem. The problem is that our scars of our younger years can cloud our judgment. I thank God for letting me understand my vulnerabilities so that I can make decisions with clarity, maturity and knowing who I am.
I am even thankful on a Monday full of events! No matter what kind of day you have, remember there are gifts in it. Plus, gratitude improves attitude and increases your blessing. GM everyone!!
